Les Anderson brings over 30 years of commercial and

public television experience to the table. Before forming Red Sail 

I was Executive Producer and Director of Programming

and Production at Orlando PBS station WMFE-TV and a Director at

then CBS afilliate WAGA-TV in Atlanta.  My time as a cameraman at 

Georgia Public Television and as a young Director at KBHK-TV in

San Francisco was a great learning experience.

As Executive Producer, Writer and Director, I have produced many

nationally distributed PBS programs such as:

• Firing Line with William F. Buckley. As director.
• Tomes & Talisman’s, a 15 program sci-fi drama.
• Just Around the Corner starring Judith Light.  12 program soap.
• The Cookin’ Cajun with Justin Wilson. Second season director. 
• The Parchman Trials, a docu-drama with James Earl jones
• The Write Channel series.  Comedy segments.
• Weather Matrix.  15 half-hour series.
• Communication One. Thirty one-hour series exploring human communication
• Future Vision.  A one -hour high-tech documentary

Television specials include a series of vignettes in collaboration with the

late author Eudora Welty.

The Interview With series that included:

Eudora Welty, authors Richard Ford Barry Hannah, historian Shelby

Foote, Doris Lessing and Harry Crews.

I am an award-winning Producer-Director and have been honored with

national and local recognition including 4 Emmy's for work on the PBS

biographical documentaries including:

• Louis Comfort Tiffany Remembered.  A&E,The Arts & Entertainment Channel 
• Earl Cunningham, The Dragon.  PBS PLUS and The Bravo Channel. 

I spent time in the Gulf of Mexico to shooting the National Geographic

documentary Shell Ridge and Miss Judy. 

The historical documentary Wings of the Past aired on the

Military Channel.

I spent years sailing the East Coast Intercoastal Waterway producing

nature, ecological and socielogical documentaries such as:

• Voyage of the Be Back Maybe
• Driven By the Wind.  For the EPA and National Estuary Program

• Mosquito Lagoon.  For the EPA and National Estuary Program 
• Oak Hill Florida, Net Ban.  For the EPA and National Estuary Program
